It took a week, but the truth forced itself out at the hearing over Halliburton subcontractor Jeff Mazon (KBR) over allegations that he took a bribe to inflate gasoline costs. Turns out that a witness in the trial, being buried by the Bush administration in Rock Island, Illinois, admitted he received a bribe from the owner of the firm hired by Bush and Dick Cheney to build the high-tech, way over budget U.S. EMbassy in Baghdad, Wadih al-Absi, owner of First Kuwaiti.
